This 4‑week entrepreneurial adventure empowers kids ages 7–16 to dream big, build boldly, and launch a real business, all leading up to our Youth Business Fair, where they get to showcase (and sell!) their creations to the community. From dog‑walking services to slime shops to snack stands, this program turns imagination into action. It’s hands‑on, confidence‑boosting, and designed to show kids just how powerful their ideas truly are. What’s Included *3 weeks of hands‑on workshops (1 hour each) *Business planning materials + take‑home prompts *Youth Business Fair finale where every participant launches their business Program Details Workshop Dates: (Sundays) April 26, May 3, May 10 Time: 9:30–10:30 AM Youth Business Fair: Sat: May 16th 9:00 AM–12:00 PM Location: Westridge Swim & Racquet Clubhouse 12764 Quarterhorse Ln, Woodbridge, VA 22192 Ages: 7–16 Cost: $8.00 Spots are limited, we keep groups small so every young entrepreneur gets personalized support and room to shine. Weekly Workshop Breakdown *Week 1 — Dream It: Brainstorm passions, explore what makes a great business, and choose your big idea *Week 2— Build It: Create your brand, set prices, plan your product or service, and map out your sales strategy *Week 3 — Prep It Practice selling, design your booth, and get ready to wow your customers *Week 4 — Launch It! Set up your stand and run your business at the Youth Business Fair — open to family, friends & the community 💛 Interested in Being a Mentor? We’re looking for enthusiastic adults who want to help kids bring their ideas to life. If you love entrepreneurship, creativity, or simply cheering young people on, you’d make an amazing Youth Business Mentor. Anything safe, creative, and kid‑run! Popular ideas include baked goods, jewelry, art, slime, pet care services, crafts, tutoring, handmade toys, and more. Do kids need a business idea before joining? Nope — we’ll help them discover and shape their idea during Week 1. Do kids keep the money they earn? Yes! Cancellation Policy
Assumption of Risk I understand that participation in Kids Run This Town programs involves physical activity, including running, walking, jogging, games, and related movement activities. I acknowledge that these activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, weather conditions, uneven surfaces, and other risks associated with physical activity. I voluntarily allow my child to participate and assume all ordinary risks associated with participation. Release of Liability In consideration of my child’s participation, I release and hold harmless Kids Run This Town, its directors, officers, coaches, volunteers, event partners, and sponsors from any and all claims of injury, illness, or loss that may occur as a result of participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. Participation Expectations I understand that Kids Run This Town programs are built on respect, safety, and inclusion. I agree to support program guidelines, safety rules, and positive behavior expectations for my child.
