Brought to you by Kids Run This Town, this 4-week entrepreneurial journey empowers kids ages 7–16 to dream big, build bold, and run their very own business — all leading up to an exciting Youth Business Fair where they get to show off (and sell!) their creations to the community.

Whether they’re launching dog-walking services, slime empires, or snack pop-ups, this is more than a program — it’s a confidence-boosting, leadership-building, fun-filled experience that shows kids the power of their ideas.

 

What’s Included

  • ✅ 3 weeks of hands-on workshops (1 hour/week)

  • ✅ Business planning materials and take-home prompts

  • ✅ 1 finale Youth Business Fair featuring all participants

  • ✅ An official Kids Run This Business Certificate of Entrepreneurship

Weekly Workshop Breakdown

Week Theme What We’ll Do
Week 1 Dream It Brainstorm passions, explore what makes a great business, and land on your big idea
Week 2 Build It Design your brand, set prices, plan your product or service, and prep your sales strategy
Week 3 Prep It Practice selling, build your booth layout, and get ready to wow your customers
Week 4 Launch It! Set up your stand and run your business at the Youth Biz Fair — open to family, friends & the community
 
 

Interested in Being a Mentor?

We’re looking for enthusiastic adults who want to help kids build their big dreams. If you love entrepreneurship, creativity, or just cheering young people on, consider joining us as a Youth Biz Mentor.

Mentors help with:

  • Guiding small-group business brainstorms

  • Offering encouragement, feedback, and help with signage and pricing

  • Helping kids practice customer service and prep their booths

  • Celebrating each participant’s big launch

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of businesses can kids launch? Anything that’s safe, creative, and made or run by them! Ideas might include baked goods, jewelry, art, slime, pet care services, crafts, tutoring, handmade toys, and more.

Do kids need a business idea to join? Nope! We’ll help them find and build their idea during the workshops.

Can parents watch or help at the fair? Yes! Families are encouraged to cheer them on. Volunteers may help with setup or during the event.

Do kids keep the money they earn? Absolutely. It’s their business — they keep 100% of their profits!
